My Family's Celebration of National Adoption Month (November)

November is national adoption month. We celebrated with cake and candles.

Each holiday season the day care does a holiday meal to celebrate Thanksgiving. So here we are at the kid's thankgiving day meal! It is the first year that the two of them were together in the same room.

Then later on, E has her "Turkey Tango" dance. After she did the dance the dad's were invited to dance with the daughter's.

My Seaworld Trip

At our trip to Seaworld we had a great time. Our kids love to ride roller coasters. Here we are waiting in line to ride the Shamu roller coaster:

Sometimes Seaworld is a little too much for our little man:

I like to ride the adult roller coasters too. The kids like to wait in the splash areas for me and get wet. Z runs away from the splashing. E likes to optimize her splash area.

And in the end, we eat some popcorn and everyone is happy!

My Visit to the West

On our way to Seaworld we stopped at a famous mexican restaurant for dinner and also visited the ranch of the parents of our friends.

My Kids Getting Ready for Halloween

Seeing that is it February, here are some photos from HALLOWEEN! E was a cat and Z was a dragon! Aunt R and Grandma were here to help us celebrate.

Here are the kids at church a few days before halloween. Church has a pumpkin patch and we were enjoying it one Sunday after service.

My Saturday Trip to the Zoo

Here we are at another of our family's favorite fall spots: the zoo. It is hard to go all summer without a visit, but now that the weather is good again, we're back.

This little girl loves reptiles SO much, you would think she has scales. Btw, there IS glass between E and the gator.


I love this picture mostly because out of the blue, Z decided to put his head in the snakes mouth and it is just so funny.

Here is Z and the flamingos. As some of you know, Z and E assigned animals to each of us. I am the flamingo. Z is a hippo. E is a cheetah and T is an elephant. We don't know how this originate. Unfortunately, this zoo has all these animals except the hippo.

My Husband's New Car

It was finally time to trade the good old blue truck in! The children no longer fit in the backseat. We had to get a larger vehicle. I dreaded taking the kids car shopping, but they really loved it. I thought it would be a real pain to load car seats to test drive cars. But it wasn't that bad. The kids really loved checking out all the cars. E wanted the Toyota Sequoia (too expensive!). After much research and negotiation, we settled on a Honda Pilot. We are very happy with it. Here is the proud new owner.
