My Daughter's Quilt

I don't think many of you know that I've been working on a quilt for E's bed for over a year. About two Christmas' ago, I bought a bunch of fabric and begin cutting out the over 1200 pieces I would need for the quilt.

At the end of February of this year, I had finished piecing the top together. Once that was complete I gave it to a lady who did the actual quilting. I just finished the binding this morning! You can see that the kids already love it.

My Strawberries

One of our favorite things to do in the spring is go to the orchard and pick strawberries. We were supposed to go with a bunch of friends, but it looked rainy that day so they cancled. We decided to brave the weather and it paid off for us.

Here is a photo of the kids with their buckets. Z wasn't really into it. E wasn't either, so it was a quick trip. But we had fun.

Under no circumstances will Z keep a hat on that WE put on him. However, give him access to his sister's hat and he is all over it.

Looking for Easter eggs.

We were all looking for eggs, when we realized that Z, who refused clothing that morning, was awfully quiet. We found him here, behind the dining room table, trying to open a mini three musketeers bar.

After Easter service

After church, we went in search of some blue bonnets. The blue bonnet is the Texas state flower. It is a wild flower. In the spring many people plant a mix of wild flower seeds. It is a tradition to take photos of your kids in the blue bonnets.

In Mexico, it is a tradition to hollow out eggs, dye them and filled them with confetti and then crack them over people's heads. So that is what E is doing to me here.

My Florida Trip Pictures

In Florida we went to our favorite place, Snack Jax. It is that blue building on the beach. It is a tiny hole in the wall place, but it sits on top of the beach. And we like to have lunch there. This week was bikers week. So we were just about the only non-bikers there.
